A brilliant internet marketer a few years ago began mailing out physical DVDs containing information about his services to prospective customers. Many in the field simply could not understand why he was still using physical formats instead of just relying on digital video served through a website. As the marketer explained, providing customers with something of perceived value increases the likelihood that they will trust you enough to make a purchase in the future. A video hosted on youtube and served through a website is simply not worth much to the visitor. But a physical DVD, which they can hold in their hands and look at, is something that is valuable and worth the effort. Not only will they give over their personal information for a copy, but they’ll also sign up for your mailing list and make purchases in the future.

So even internet companies can benefit from producing a DVD product which promotes their services or products. Unfortunately, going about doing this often requires a modest budget, usually several thousand dollars. And once the DVDs have been made, you still need to package them. Using a simple white disc envelope can undermine the whole purpose of producing the disc to begin with. instead, you’ll want to use professionally designed packaging.

Fortunately, DVD cover templates allow for you to make the packaging yourself as opposed to hiring designers at the cost of several hundred additional dollars. The design process is relatively simple and can be accomplished by importing logos and other information about your company and products into an image editing software and then placing them on the template. After just a couple of hours, you can usually have something which looks professional enough to satisfy the needs of the project.

Many marketers recommend including printed material with the DVD as well. Once the customer has received it, they’re more likely to review the materials included before watching the video content. As a result, even if they don’t watch the disc, they’ve still learned all the necessary information about your company in order to keep it in mind for future purchases. So either way, you’ve accomplished the goal of increasing brand awareness and enticing customers to purchase products and services.

Customers like to feel that companies are going the extra step to get them to buy their product or service. They like to be actively engaged with the company before making a purchasing decision. There is no better way to accomplish this than sending them something of value, such as the DVD, through the mail which they can enjoy. Having a well-designed DVD package will only entice them to actually watch the video, further increasing the likelihood that they will buy from your company.
